Hey folks, quick question about vinyl windows – what's the actual real-world difference in noise blocking between those $300-400 cheap ones from the big box stores and something in the $700-900 mid-range? We live right by a busy street and the traffic hum drives me nuts at night, especially now that I'm working from home more. Even with curtains closed it's still annoying. Curious if splashing a bit more cash actually buys quieter sleep or if it's mostly marketing fluff.

Man, I felt the exact same pain last year when we were picking windows for our place. Went from super budget ones in the old house (you could literally hear people talking outside) to mid-tier triple-pane with better seals during our windows Mississauga project and holy cow, the difference is night and day. Road noise dropped so much that we barely run the white noise machine anymore. Not saying you need the fanciest stuff, but that jump from entry-level to solid mid-range was totally worth it for us.
